Three companies in the audiovisual field were left without permissive documents for broadcasting, due to financing from dubious sources

May 30, 2024, Chisinau - The Council for the Promotion of Investment Projects of National Importance decided to refuse to grant prior approval for investments of importance for state security and to withdraw the permissive documents for television broadcasts and audiovisual services in the case of three companies.< /p>

It is about SRL "Telesistem TV" (Primul in Moldova, Accent TV), SRL "Archidoc Group" (Orizont TV) and SRL "Telestar Media" (Channel 2 and Channel 3). They breached the council's request to provide the full information file by presenting the information and details of only one bank account, while holding 5 and 8 other accounts respectively in different banks. In the case of each, transactions were identified that confirm affiliation with the Plahotniuc - Șor group.

At the same time, the board approved positively the investments of the company "Satelrom-TV" SRL (TV Drochia and Drochia FM), while for SRL "Statis TV (Zone M) and SRL "Real Exim" (Radio.md) were requested additional information.

The Council also decided to send a final notification to 36 companies out of the 88 targeted which have not previously responded to the request to present the required information.

Also, the council decided to self-refer in the case of two companies in the strategic field of energy infrastructure, namely: "Lukoil-Moldova" and "Societeatea National Natural Gas Romgaz SA Mediaș - Chisinau Branch". In their case, there have recently been changes in the shareholding structure and the approval procedure is necessary.

We mention that this was the last meeting of the Council for the promotion of investment projects of national importance, organized by the National Investment Agency, after the Secretariat of the Commission was taken over by the Public Services Agency.
